How do I apply for a registry lock?
Note: This article covers Melbourne IT DPS customers only.
In order to have your domain registry locked, please contact your Account Manager directly.
- They will ensure that your domain does not require any changes
- They will send through a form to establish an authorised contact and a security passphrase for the registry lock. Once completed, forward this form to [email protected].
Our internal registry lock expert will prevalidate your form, then call you directly to confirm that the domain is ready to be locked. Once they get your authorisation, they will contact the registry, undergo a validation process and arrange for your domain lock to be instated. This process usually takes up to 48 hours, after which time we will advise you that your domain is now secure and under a registry lock.
For more information, please contact your Account Manager.
