For regulatory reasons, we require signed confirmation that you intend to cancel/terminate your .au domain name. Before you complete and return the request, please consider the following carefully:

• Any remaining months on your licence are immediately cancelled and are non refundable. If you cancel the domain a year into it's two year licence, the remaining year is cancelled and we are unable to compensate you for this.
• When the termination is processed, the domain becomes available for anyone else to purchase (subject, of course, to the standard .au eligibility criteria). If you intend for the domain to be picked up by someone else in particular, you should process a change of ownership instead.

Important

If you have a web or email hosting, other domain services active on this domain name, you are advised to consider cancelling those services at the same time as your domain name cancellation, as these services will remain active even if the domain name is no longer registered.

If, after considering these points, you still want to cancel your domain name, simply call us 24/7 or raise a ticket by selecting the support tab from inside your Console. From there, we will authenticate and as you make the request for domain de-registration in writing.
