Transferring an expired domain

Transferring a domain name which has expired already is a more complicated process than transferring one where the licence is current. This is because when a domain expires, the registry locks the domain and it must be manually unlocked by our staff before the transfer can take place.

If your domain has expired, you will need to contact us either by phone or email so that we can remove the lock.

Once this is done, please refer to the documents below. You should note that the domain will automatically lock again after three days, so please initiate the transfer as soon as you are able:
