Setting up Cloud email in Mac Mail
Mac Mail is the default email client which comes pre-installed with the Mac operating system. Whilst this guide is based around Mac Mail on Yosemite OSX, earlier version of Mac Mail follow similar conventions. Whilst this guide is broken up by sections if you are setting up an email account for the first time simply follow the entire guide.

The guide follows settings for a POP configuration which is the most common type of email setup, however if your interested in using an IMAP setup please follow the guide, but refer to the table at the bottom of this article for settings pertaining to IMAP.
WARNING: If you're updating an existing email account setup in Mac Mail do not delete the account as this will delete all mail associated to the account
Accounts in Mac Mail
- Open up Mac Mail
- Click Mail
- Accounts
- Preferences
Here you can manage an existing email account or add a new email account. If you wish to add a new email account click on the Plus + symbol.
Adding a new email account to Mac Mail
1. After following the above instructions and clicking on the + symbol.
2. Please select Other Account.
3. You will need to enter your full email address & mailbox password then click [Create]
Incoming Mail Server
1. Select [POP]
2. In the Mail Server field enter pop.yourdomain.com
3. In the username field enter your full email address & enter your mailboxes password in the password, then click [Next].
Enter 110 for your port & ensure authentication is set to Password then click [Next].
Outgoing SMTP Server
1. In the SMTP Server field enter smtp.yourdomain.com
2. For the username field enter your full email address & your mailbox password then click [Next]
3. Enter 587 for your port, ensure SSL is unticked. For authentication ensure it is set to password.
Next click [Create]
If you have followed the above instructions and your mailbox is correctly configure on our platform you will now be able to send & receive emails. For your reference please refer to this table for complete email settings for our platform.
